From a Trading Desk to an Engineering Company.
Konaark Solar Solutions didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a question: why are the structures holding India's solar panels treated like commodity hardware, while the panels themselves receive all the engineering attention?
Our Story
Konaark's roots go back five years to a solar component trading business in the Telangana–Andhra Pradesh region. That business built real market relationships, deep supply chain knowledge, and an understanding of what solar installers actually need — not just what they say they need.
Naveen Kumar Reddy Peddagorla grew up in that environment, pursued mechanical engineering in India, then advanced his education with a Master's degree in the United States. What he brought back wasn't just a degree — it was an understanding of how global engineering companies approach quality, data-driven design, and manufacturing standards.
When Naveen returned to India, he partnered with Surya — a mechanical engineer with ten years of hands-on experience in structural manufacturing — to transform that trading legacy into something larger: a vertically integrated solar infrastructure company that manufactures its own products, sources only certified components, and executes turnkey installations to engineering standards. That is Konaark Solar Solutions.
Our Name
Konaark derives from the Sun's Corner — the intersection of solar energy and precision engineering. It is inspired by the Konark Sun Temple of Odisha, one of India's greatest feats of structural engineering, built to align with the movements of the sun and designed to last millennia.
We chose this name deliberately. In an industry where structures are often built to minimum tolerances, we build to outlast. In an industry where shortcuts are common, we choose the engineer's path.
Mission
To deliver solar infrastructure that is structurally engineered, compliance-certified, and built to perform for 25 years — making clean energy bankable for every Indian home, factory, and institution we serve.
Vision
To become the most trusted solar infrastructure manufacturer and EPC company in South India — known for engineering integrity, not just competitive pricing.

Our Journey
Year 1 — Foundation
Established solar component trading operations. Built supply chain partnerships with Tier-1 module and inverter manufacturers. Registered as ALMM-compliant distributor.
Year 2 — Manufacturing
Launched MMS manufacturing unit in Anantapur region. Completed structural engineering certification for the first product line covering residential and commercial rooftop MMS.
Year 3 — EPC Launch
Launched turnkey EPC services in Andhra Pradesh. Onboarded first B2B installer partners. PM Surya Ghar empanelment process began.
Target 2027 — Scale
500+ MMS installations complete. 50+ EPC project portfolio. National MMS supply network established.
The Problem We Were Built to Solve
India's rooftop solar sector is expanding rapidly — driven by MNRE targets, the PM Surya Ghar scheme, and growing commercial and industrial demand. But the market has a structural problem:
-
Mounting structures are often sourced from unqualified fabricators with no wind-load analysis
-
Grey-market solar panels — not on the ALMM list — are still sold to uninformed buyers
-
Small EPC firms lack in-house manufacturing, leading to cost inflation and quality gaps
-
Subsidy processes remain opaque and difficult to navigate for homeowners
Konaark was built to solve all four. In-house MMS manufacturing with structural certification. ALMM-only component supply. Integrated EPC with single-source procurement. Dedicated subsidy management support.
